Our Emergency Clinic Process

01 Arrival at the Hospital
For Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), we operate on a walk-in basis. When you arrive at NQ Care, our friendly reception team will greet you and check you in. We understand that visiting the vet can be stressful, and we strive to create a welcoming environment for both you and your pet.
For referral cases, you can book an appointment directly with our customer service team. These appointments are scheduled at a specific time, ensuring that you and your pet receive dedicated attention without the need for triage.
02 Triage Assessment for ECC
After check-in, your pet will undergo a triage assessment conducted by our veterinary staff. This assessment evaluates your pet’s condition to determine the urgency of care needed. Pets in critical need will receive immediate attention, ensuring that those requiring urgent care are prioritized effectively.
03 Consultation and Diagnostics
Once triaged, you will meet with one of our veterinarians who will conduct a thorough examination of your pet. Depending on the findings, we may recommend diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging, or other assessments to identify the underlying issues.
For referral cases, your veterinarian will provide the necessary documentation to assist in your pet’s care. We will do a thorough history and physical exam, and then give you all of your treatment options and make a plan that suits you.
04 Treatment Plan
After we have a clear understanding of your pet’s condition, our team will discuss the recommended treatment plan with you. We will explain the procedures involved, expected outcomes, and any follow-up care that may be necessary. Your questions and concerns will be addressed to ensure you feel confident in the care plan.
05 Ongoing Communication
Throughout your pet’s treatment, we will keep you updated on their progress. Our team believes in open communication, so you will always know what to expect and how your pet is doing. For referred cases, we will ensure that your regular veterinarian is kept informed of your pet’s treatment and recovery.
06 Follow-up Care
After your pet has received care, we will provide detailed instructions for follow-up care and recovery. We encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns during this time. Additionally, we will communicate with your pet’s regular veterinarian to ensure a smooth transition back to their primary care provider.
